Just a FYI. Last year my sister held a large thanksgiving dinner. She didn't know it but everyone was giving her Llaso Apso pieces of turkey. The dog, who was one year old, ended up in emergency and was in critical condition for two days. The vet said that turkey is very harmful to dogs. This year she is making a sign that says "Please don't feed the animals!"

As far as I am aware the only part of turkey that is bad for dogs is the cooked bones. Maybe the dog was given bones.

I should clarify this, sorry my post left out some information. My understanding was it was alot of skin with gravy. I am not sure of the specifics but I believe it was too much high fat in a short period of time. The dogs system was overloaded and no one realized the others were giving it to him as well. She had about 20 people in the house.
