Essiac tea...good or bad?

Has anyone had any experience using Essiac tea for a dog with cancer? My Zoe was diagnosed with lymphoma on March 12th and I chose not to do chemo. I am going the hollistic route using supplements and a grain free, high protein diet and it seems to be going really well. Of everything I have found online about Essiac, most of it is positive and claims excellent results. But I have found a couple sites that discourage the use in dogs. I bought some before I stumbled across the negative information but haven't made it yet. I just wanted to see if anyone on here had any information for me, good or bad!
I am also open to hearing about any supplements that could be useful for us in helping Zoe.

Thanks!

I have not personally used it (though did at one point question giving it just as a preventative), but there is a woman on another dog forum I go on who SWEARS by it. She has a dog that had a quickly growing lump and giving the essiac tea caused it to start decreasing in size, until eventually it was completely gone.

My opinion is that it won't hurt, so I'd definitely try it.
