Peanut butter =diareah?

So I put some peanut butter in George's kong with. Treat when he goes in his crate and he absolutely loved it and reduced his crying which is always good. However after a second day of this he got diareah and it literally looked and smelled just like peanut utter. Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue?

Peanut butter is really high in fat, so yes it can cause diarrhea. Also over feeding your pup can cause it. If I remember right you just got George, and he is a young puppy? I wouldn't be putting more than a teaspoon of peanut butter in his Kong. If you freeze the pb stuffed kong it will last a bit longer.

Another option you have is feeding his meal in the kong. Make a mash by soaking the kibble in water for about 10 mins. Then mash it into the kong. You can plug it with a small amount of peanut butter. You can also slightly freeze it for a few hours. Not solid, he may get bored with licking the mash and getting nothing out of it. LOL
