Could use some healing thoughts and prayers
My husband came home tonight to see that Lucy had eaten a bottle of tylenol pm. I'm guessing there were about 20 pills left, but don't know for sure. She is in hospital getting iv fluids and all sorts of stuff done. They said she may be able to come home tomorrow, but might stay until Monday. We lock her in the bathroom when were gone with her cage. I knew we were just asking for trouble by not locking her in her cage. I hope she pulls through this, any encouraging stories to be shared? Also, if you've dealt with this and things didn't end great, please share too, like if she does survive but has liver damage, what kind of life will she/we have?

Yeah, you know it always happens to people who say "that won't happen to us, we're smarter than that!". No, no we're not.

My brother's dog got into some and was in the hospital for a couple of days but made it fine. Hope your pup gets well soon.

Spoke with the hospital this am and they said she's very ornery, but very happy go lucky too, they said she was a sweet sweet puppy! They did put an e-collar on her though because she chewed up 3 ivs. I'm going to take her attitude this am as a good sign!

I am so glad she is feeling better and I hope she comes home today! As a pup Arabella was an expert getting into things! So much so that when I called the vet and told them it was me the first questions was "What has Arabella eaten now?" I started keeping ipecac in the house because of her. She has been forced to vomit more than all of my dogs I have had in my lifetime combined! I still don't know how she got one bottle of pills. It was on a high breakfast counter that had to be a foot higher than she was tall standing on her back legs!
We're sending lots of positive, healthy ((((vibes)))) and hope she is home being cuddled soon!

That is music to my ears - I hope hope I have the same outcome. I've been moping around the house all morning long watching the clock tick slooooooooooooooooowly just waiting until my next call-in to check on her. I want so badly to go see her, but I'm afraid that it would just upset her to see me leave, not to mention how upsetting it would be for me to have to leave without her. The last time I did that it was without my precious Dakoda who was too late to save because of Bloat at the same hospital. Bad Bad memories of that place for me.

She is home! Vet said she showed absolutely no signs of illness so he felt it was ok to let her come home. I'm to watch for grey tongue and gums and get her liver checked on Tuesday. Thank you all for the good thoughts and prayers, they certainly helped.
