So glad to hear your babies are doing well. When Bandit got an infection in his paw last week from a thorn, I slept on the sofa for 2 days so he could lay next to me on the floor. It's amazing how much we spoil and love these dogs.

It's hard not to let him play outside since the weather has been so nice here in Kansas City. He got his leash the other day and was walking around the house with it for 10 minutes. . He hasn't been cleared by the vet yet to go on walks, so hopefully in the next few days he'll be good to go.

Well it has been 2 months since we got the news of Thor's tumor and so far things are going great! He has been full of energy and has been chasing birds and doing burns in the backyard. There is a pet expo this weekend and I have been debating taking him to get his CGC. The only thing stopping me is I don't want people bumping into him. I am hoping if I go early enough it won't be too crowded.

I also have to get Thor into his cardiologist. He only has one more refill on his prescription. I know he'll have to wear a Holtor monitor. I'm a bit worried about that as they run tape around his belly. I am hoping since the cardiologist and the internist are from the same offce they can communicate and tape him safely.

As for Arabella, she popped her first tennis ball since she had her mouth thing. I'm glad she is back 100%, but not happy that I am going to have to keep buying new tennis balls. I know it is a snmall price to pay to have a healthy pup.

For those of you that are following on the blog. I know I haven't updated. I had to open a google mail acct to access soething else and it doesn't seem to want to let me login on my old email acct and it doesn't recognize the google acct. I am sure once I get some time to play with it I will figure it out. Just don't give up on it!

Such good news about both of your pups. I'm glad Arabella is back to playing with tennis balls, her poor jaw must have been so sore.

Also glad to hear Thor is doing so well. My parents GSD was diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma (a month ago) on a Monday, and was gone by Tuesday night. I wish you many more happy months with your boy.

I am so sorry for your parents loss. I think with Thor we had an usual set of cicumstances to let us know a bit earlier than most. Because he swallowed those two little geranium flowers which made him throw-up and caused a small bleed, and discomfort after.Because he suffers from pancreatitis, I got him to the vet quickly. Since I got a bit of a heads up, I got to change a few things. First to get him off the fish oil, which thins the blood, and second to add more protein to his diet. I know I am blessed for that.

Yes, THOR, you show 'em, keep on keepin' on. We are all cheering for you, and Arabella, good girl, to show your Mom you can wreck a tennis ball! She is very happy to buy you more, don't believe if she says otherwise.

Many good vibes to Thor and Arabella.

Thor seems to be slowing down. Last Saturday he would lay for a while and then sit for a while. He didn't seem in pain, but I gave him a tramadol just in case. It didn't seem to make much difference. I am not sure if I have mentioned on here about a Chinese herbal supplement called bayaio yunnan. It is suppose to stop bleeding. I have bought it, but I was waiting to talk to his cardiologist before giving it to him. Something told me I had to take a leap of faith and give it to him that day. I did. He had no adverse reactions, which I am thankful for. Whether it had a positive one I don't really know.

I gave it to him early in the afternoon, by late afternoon he was sleeping. My husband and I went out that night (I almost didn't go, but I spent nearly $300 on tickets to see Jimmy Buffet.) and I had a dog sitter/walker come over and give him his meds. She sent a text and told me all was well. (Whew! relief.) She also said they were great, happy dogs. (Made me proud.) When we got home the dogs were happy as can be, and hungry! They normally eat their last meal between 8-9, and it was about 11pm.

Thor hasn't had anymore days like Saturday, but he just isn't playing. The only time he runs is if he thinks there is something in the yard. If it is dark out he takes off out the door in hopes of catching a rabbit. Arabella keeps wanting him to play, dropping toys in front of him, or pawing at him, but he just dosen't seem to care. He still has a great appitite. I just want him to be happy. As I said he doesn't seem to be in pain, just slowing down. I am also hoping the weather is a factor. We just had two cooler days and today is suppose to be 80* and tomorrow near 90, then by the weekend, back into the upper 30's at night. It is just one big rollercoaster around here.
