So cute! Please give Thor a big hug from us

I think we will go ahead with the surgery but we just got her blood test reports and her platelet count is too low. I will consult with the vet tomorrow. The oncologist will be present during the surgery as well, so that'll be good.

Will keep you'll posted

Update :(

So we had the surgery yesterday and the tumor is arising from the pancreas and attached to it. Its spread everywhere, in the liver and the intestines as well. The vet couldnt do anything. All she did was take a sample for biopsy.

Ive just been such a mess since yesterday. I know shes terminally ill, but I dont want to let her go. I thought I'd be positive today, you know. But then she dint want to eat anything today, and woke up favouring her front left leg which got me sad again. Almost like knowing the end is near. She's sleeping right here and I want to just hug her tight and talk to her and I dont want to let her go, but I dont want to trouble her and she's all bandaged up.

We need to go back to the clinic to change her dressing in an hour.

We decided against chemo as we dont want to put her through any discomfort. Can any of you recommend any drug which will make things easy for her? I will ask my vet about it, and maybe start her off on it.

Thank you for all your support.

I'm so sorry to hear your sad news. My heart goes out to you. I hope you get to spend some wonderful days with her, although I know there will never be enough of them...

I am so sorry you didn't get better news. I found out my boy has cancer this week as well. We are not treating it either. He is nearly 11 and has other health issues, so surgery and chemo just aren't options. We are just going to take it one day at a time. All we can do is give them love and spoil them until the time comes to say goodbye. I wish you many happy days before then.

Aww poor baby! Lots of healing vibes to Thor...Im going to do the same...take things one day at a time. My Gigi has no idea why she's roaming around all bandaged. She is so uncomfortable in all that. Sometimes she just stands still for 10 minutes in one place, with an almost stunned look. Its been only 2 days since the surgery, but Im waiting for her to get out of it as soon as possible.

Thank you for the support Boxerworld!
