Question Eyes are read and puffy...she can hardly open them

Around the holidays we found a tick on her ear, we removed it & she was fine. A few days later she started throwing up and chewing rugs and having accidents in the house (which hasn't happened since she was a pup). She also made a whelping noise when we touched her around her ears. We took her to the vet & they gave her an exam and x-ray, but didn't find anything out of the ordinary, and gave us medicine to give her. Then we realized her ears were hurting her, and went back to the vet and got ear drops. Those helped at first but then she was still acting "off" & being tired & lazy, so we took her feces to the vet and had it tested, nothing...

Now her eyes are very swollen & red...she can't really open them. Has anyone ever had something similar happen? We are worried that its cancer & are going to have vet take a blood test tomorrow.

I am sorry that you boxer is not feeling well! I don't really have any suggestions, except make sure that she is tested for any tick borne diseases that can be found in Texas. What medicine did they give her and what was it for?

I hope she is feeling better soon!

I wouldn't jump to cancer!
I agree that tick borne disease of some type needs to be ruled out.
The swelling could be connected or it could be an allergic reaction to something else entirely. Let us know how the vet visit goes.
