Drinking lots of water, peeing bed....
I'm worried sick...our 4 year old, Mia has been having some issues the past month.....peeing her bed, drinking tons of water.....we've had 3 sets of blood tests with some of her levels slightly high and now they are doing some test on her calcium levels that help determine hyperthyroidism? I'm worried it could be lymphoma but would the forst barrage of blood tests have ruled that out or is lymphoma related to hyperthyroidism ? We've been waiting for 7 days for the blood results and it's killing me!

kidney issues?
Those were our early warning signs for Cash's chronic kidney failure at 10 months - excessive thirst, excessive peeing, and wetting the bed in his sleep. If your vet hasn't already, have them check her kidney levels on the bloodwork (BUN, creatine, phosphorus). Cash was treated for a UTI at first, then on the urinalysis re-check they saw that he pee was too dilute and wanted to do bloodwork. Our vet at first thought it could be diabeties and in the meantime prescribed Proin for his incontinence. However, the bloodwork ended up showing his kidney levels were out of whack, and we had to get an ultrasound done. This confirmed it was chronic kidney failure There isn't much we can do but feed him prescription food and give him supplements. He still has accidents at night too since his incontinence issues aren't treatable with Proin, but doggie diapers help with this. Good luck with Mia!

Got the calcium level tests back and they are high, thyroid levels are low and all signs point to hyperparathyroidism.....Mia is going to see an internal medicine specialist today to see what is causing the hyperparathyroidism........I'm really not optimistic about what we are going to find out
