Inverted nipples...

Roxy has been through her first heat and we notice she has a few inverted nipples. I addressed it with the vet and was told that it should resolve itself.

She seems super sensitive to one of them. Is this normal? Not sure how to pop the inverted nipple out without causing her pain. I did notice a slight discharge surrounding the nipple on my first attempt at uninverting so I sprayed some polysporin on the nipple.

My gut instinct is that this nipple needs to be "popped" out so the area surrounding it can heal. I just need some guidance on how to do this so as not to cause her any pain.

Absolutely she will be spayed.

After research and support from our vet we waited for the spay to ensure full growth potential, until she reached her first birthday- which just happened to be the same time she came into heat.
