Hydrogen Peroxide for Kennel Cough??

I have a friend who has a Boxer and she read online to give 3 drops of 3% hydrogen peroxide and 2 tsp honey into each 8oz of water and have the dog drink that until the kennel cough is gone. Anybody else ever heard this? I'm trying to talk her out of it as I know hydrogen peroxide is used to induce vomiting when they eat something they shouldn't and I'm all for home remedies but even I won't jump on that band wagon, but hey I could be wrong.

Just curious if anyone else has heard this or actually done this or is this best left in the "old wives tale" category?

I have never heard of hydrogen peroxide being given for kennel cough. Honey will ease the cough, but I don't know what benefit hydrogen peroxide would give.
