Doesn't sound good for Lexie. I am shocked!!!!!!!!!!

I am sure you guys have read some of my recent posts. L exie started to miss a couple meals and went through a bout of drinking alot. She also peed in the house for the first time in her 8 years we have had her. I had a urine test done that was normal. She had really came around the last few days so much that I almost cancelled the vet appt tonight. I wanted to have blood work done just be be sure she was ok. When the vet examined her I could tell he was concerned about something and then said with a tear in his eye. I think we have a problem. Her lymph nodes are all swollen and her is pretty certain or Lymphoma or some sort. I am SO saddened by this. I am crying just typing this. My friend just went through the same thing with his 5 year old male. Please pray for us and our family. Thanks. BILL

So sorry to hear this Bill. Did the vet biopsy the lymph nodes? I am sure the vet has good reason to suspect lymphoma but swollen nodes do not necessarily mean lymphoma. However, at her age it would be a serious suspect. I'll keep Lexie in my thoughts and hope for good news.

Bill & Lexie,
I'm sorry. Did he do a biopsy, what is he suggesting to do, did he refer you to an oncologist?

Update

Thanksfor your thoughts. The Vet did a biopsy. He told me it would be a few days to find out for sure. However, he said he would be surprised if it wasn't. I am starting to think it is more advanced than I thought. She will not eat ANYTHING at this point and wet her bed this morning and had VERY loose stool outside. She has lost about 8 pounds in a short time. Not sure what we are facing but I KNOW I will NOT let my girl suffer. This is HELL. BILL
