Pus rash?

Roxy has a rash of bumps with white/yellow pus inside that looks very similar to a pimple..but it is more flat with a larger pus head (sorry about the gross details) on the inside of her hind legs and armpits. I just noticed them several days ago and some have gone down while new ones pop up in different places, they stay pusy for about a day and then go down. There are not that many, only about 5-6 and the big ones are about the size of a pimple. They do not appear to bother or itch her, and she does have other things which seem to be bug bites on her body. She is three now and this is a new occurrence which we have never seen. We just changed quite a few things in her life including some new foods and also a new climate with a lot more mosquitoes. Could these bumps be the result of an allergic reaction to food or even a new warmer climate with bugs galore? We plan to wait a few more days to see how they develop before deciding to take a vet run. Anyone have any suggestions or similar experiences?
Thanks

Puss filled bumps would more than likely be some sort of infection. Staph comes to mind. What you described is exactly what my girl gets and it is always a staph infection.
Could be a one time thing caused by who knows what.
My girl gets them due to her thyroid issues. Once diagnosed and then treatment started (thyroid meds) the problem is MUCH MUCH better.
For years we did everything we could think of. Special baths, various foods, supplements, antibiotics, etc....when something worked it was short lived and the infections always returned.
I'm sure your vet can offer up something to treat it and perhaps even give you additional answers as to what is causing it.

I thought the same thing- staph infection- sounded exactly like the one Baxter had. He gets allergy flare up rashes, and only one time it progressed into a staph infection- vet gave us antibiotics. We just work to keep his allergies under control, and like Susi mentioned, the vet can probably provide insight as to what might have triggered it, so you can try to minimize any reactions (in Baxter's case we think it's food and environmental, so there's a lot to manage, but in our case-once we knew what to look out for and how to use preventative maintenance, it's not bad).

I completely agree with Cami and baxtercruz's posts...sounds like a staph infection. The infection could definitely be a secondary infection from environmental and/or food allergies. You'll definitely need to see your vet if it is a staph infection. My lab has terrible allergies, and frequently gets staph infections on his belly and armpit area. He always needs a course of antibiotics to clear it up. Good luck.
