dry heaving?

My dog has been (what it seem to me) dry heaving most of the day. He hasn't eat anything unusual today (that I know of). I haven't seen him puke. I'm starting to worry about him. What could it be?

TIA

I don't know what could cause this but my immediate reaction would be take him to the vet. What if he swallowed something that is stuck in his throat? Better to be safe than sorry.... I sure hope he is ok!

I agree, too, take him to your vet. Sending hopeful thoughts that he is OK. Please keep us posted.
