Does cold weather cause runny nose?

I know that my nose runs alot more when it's cold out, but does that happen to our dogs too?? Every time we go outside, i notice that Tyler's nose is running. Is it from the cold windy weather or does my baby have a little cold??

Re: Does cold weather cause runny nose?

I think so as this morning after our walk Ruby and Luka's nose was really running. It is freezing here.

Re: Does cold weather cause runny nose?

I would say more than likely it is from the cold weather. When Samantha & Syd come in from playing out in the cold they have a slight runny nose but clears up after they have been inside for a while.

Is Tyler's nose runny in the morning at all when he wakes up?

No, it's not runny when he wakes up in the morning, it's just when we get outside he starts sneezing and has a runny nose.

If it's only runny when he goes out in the cold I would think that it is just the cold weather. As long as there is no discharge other than clear I think it is the weather.

Cisco has had the same runny nose! It is only when he has been in the cold and clears up when he gets warmed back up inside!!

Titan gets a runny nose too after being outside in the cold, but it stops when he gets back inside and warms up some.
