Resorted to Diapers.
Well Payton and her peeing got to be way to much this weekend. I went out and got her a diaper. It is cloth and has a pad u can change inside it. They are a jean looking material but softer. She was walking around all bowed legged and looking pitful. She got used to it and now she is sleeping with them on.
I am sure tonight she will have another accident, they are becomming more frequent, and I will let you know how it all holds up. I hate doing this to her. I told her I would take them off any time another dog could see her. I dont need the neighborhood dogs making fun of her. I wish I could understand what the cats and Roxy think. DH and I were laughing so hard I am sure Roxy was too....she was smiling!
I will post pics tomorrow. I hope this goes well.

Here is the history:
Please help, I dont want to re-home her.
Peeing Payton
DH didnt put the diaper on Pay last night and she peed on the couch GRRRR. I yelled at him this morning and put the diaper back on Pay. She acts so funny with it on. I bought the Large on for dogs up to 55 lbs, but I guess my girl has no but cause it seems to sag off of her!
I am sorry I guess I should of given some background on Pay. I just have been struggling with this for SOOOOO long now I figured everyone would know, sorry! Payton pees 24/7. She is unable to control her muscles from what we can tell. Our poor baby has so many issues....but this peeing thing is getting old. She pees all the time in her sleep up to 3 times a night, and we have noticed dribbling agian too. I am going to post pics soon of her.

It means canīt hold the urine in.
Alot of older people get this and also it can happen after giving birth (humans)
I hope that the diapers help. At least she is comfortable with them.

They have medication for that and it works great. It's called phenylpropanolamine.

yeah, I was also going to mention the medication for this as well, but I couldn't remember the name of it. Our parent's dog had that problem and he now gets his medication twice a day and hasn't had a problem since he started it. I think he may relapse a bit when he is stressed, but they under-medicate what is prescribed, so if that is the case they give him the normal dose.
Maybe check that out? I believe it was reasonably priced and worked wonders. unfortunately, it is a permanent thing... but no pee is a good thing.
