hair loss in a puppy

Hello. I just got back from two weeks building houses in New Orleans yesterday, and my wife cared for our pup Chloe during that time. My wife said that another puppy, a beagle I believe, met Chloe and started really biting at her. As soon as it happened my wife picked up Chloe and left, but she noticed the next day that Chloe had lost some hair. When I got home, I looked at it. There are about 4 spots of hair missing roughly a quarter of an inch in diameter. One is on her hind leg, and the other three are on her right and left sides, behind the ribs but before her hips. The skin underneath is white, not scabby, she doesn't stratch or chew on them and it really worries me. I searched and found out about Seasonal Flank Alopecia, but I also saw that it usually didn't have an onset until they were older. Chloe is 18 weeks old. Is it possible that it is seasonal alopecia at this age. She is going to the vet later today. Does anyone have any suggestions?

It could be mites. When Chevy was a puppy he also had few small spots of hair loss. We went to the vet and shes aid it was most likely mites and she suggested to come back in two weeks if the hair didn't come back then they would do a scrapping which from what I understand is not very comfortable. Most dogs have mites but it usually only affects puppies because their immune system is not strong enough. With our guy it went away by itself.
Good luck!

Great news!!! Went to the vet and she said that it wasn't anything serious, its just where the other puppy was biting at Chloe. So, all will be back to normal in a couiple of weeks. I really wish, however, that people at dog parks would watch their dogs and not talk on their cell phones while their dogs attack others.
