Pictures to big

I am trying to download pictures from our digital camera and it keeps saying the file is to big. How to I get the picture to become a smaller file without ruining the picture.

Crop out excess and reduce the resolution to 72dpi.

A couple of options

If you just want to make them smaller, most Dig cameras come with decent enough Software and Resize will do fine...Keep the aspect ration Locked and all should be fine.(I use adobe and PSP)

If its for a website....
<p><a title="Click for bigger picture" href="HYPERLINK to Picture">
<img border="0" src="hercnick.jpg" ></a></p>

The Width and Height Tags will alow you to make the picture smaller for the website

The Href= Tag will alow you to Link to the Full size Picture.

Title= Will allow a roll over Tag to pop up..

Hope this helps
