Question ?Lost? my adoption stuff twice!?! (Long)

Sat. night I spent HOURS filling out an adoption form (probably giving them much more info than they wanted/needed)! Anyway, I got tired before I finished, so I put the application in my "Mail" ---where I intended to retrieve it the next day & finish it. Well, I CAN'T get to it! I have Yahoo, & I didn't know how to put it into the "compose" section of my regular Mail (where I know how to save it for later use). This is the "Mail" that is in the top, right corner of the bar. I also have about 15 other messages/undelivered pieces of mail there that I can't see or resend.

After 4 days of trying to retrieve my application, I gave up & printed out the adoption application so that I could have the time I needed to fill it out by hand. I did that, but since this is an out-of-state Senior dog, I thought it best to email the head lady & tell her of my interest. That way, if they didn't want to do an out-of-state adoption, she could just let me know before before I took all that time to transpose what I had written by hand, & RETYPE the application on the computer!

While I was typing THAT email, my computer told me they were going to disconnect me (due to inactivity???), if I didn't click on "don't disconnect." I clicked that on & kept typing. When I was finished with the email I clicked "Send". I thouht all was well...... until my computer starting signing me on again!! Was my message sent??? It didn't say "your message has been sent", etc............... I pushed the "Send" button, the computer made some noises, then it signed me on again. I hate to bother this lady again (by sending her another email........in case she DID get the first one (volunteers are sooooo busy), but I'm VERY interested in this sweet older dog & want to let them know!

Dan----I did what you mentioned in another computer problem & went to "History". It showed the web sites I had visited (GREAT info, by the way----thanks), but it did NOT show the email that I had typed FROM that website! I also went into "Mail Sent", but I guess, since it was sent from a website...& NOT my mail site---it said that nothing had been sent.

Sorry this is so long (& confusing?). Hope I made enough sense for you to be able to help. I PROMISE the next time AARP offers computer classes in Houston----I will attend!! Thanks for any help you may be able to offer. Annie

THe history will not show what activity took place on a web page, only the web pages you visisted. And you are correct, it will not show up in the "sent mail" folder if it swas a form send via a web page.

As for the email, email her again, sending the original by attachment if possible, and apologize if she has already received this information from you, but let them know you were having computer problems and wanted to make sure they received your email message. I don't think this will be a problem, even for busy volunteers. Computer glitches happen to us all, especially email problems. So don't beat yourself up over it.
