Pda

But it totally depends on what you primarily want from the device - and how much weight/bulk you're prepared to carry around.

Thanks! I'm kinda of leaning in that direction, do you have to manually download your email to the pda? In researching the blackberry, email is automatically directed to your phone

Depends which email Email can be sent directly to the Pda, or, I can access any number of external email accounts and download it online. The Pda has wifi. And Blackberry connectivity.

This is what I have: http://www.my-xda.com/xda2s_what.html

It is a little outdated now - it's nearly a whole year old LOL. But it's successors are reasonable too. In the US, I think the range is marketed by T-mobile.

My only real complaint is size/weight. Well, I'm not complaining when I want to use it as a Pda, of course - size is good. But when it's just the phone you want... sometimes a tiny little light one would be nice! Oh - and the camera is not worth having.

I have a smart phone, Nokia N70, I only use it for texting so it is a bit of a waste, but I love it!

Also take into effect the security issues that the Blackberry has had. As far as I know they have not been totally fixed...due to Blue Tooth technology....unsecured wireless. Of course the Smartphone has Blue Tooth technology as well, so you are not really very safe that way either.

Hubby works for the cell phone company, that is why I have all of this useful knowledge!

Blackberry if you want to be tethered to your work email.

I've been using Blackberries for about 2 years now and will never give them up.

I think most of the nokia s60 pones can handle emailing, but to access emails on your pohne you must have ether gprs or wap enabled.
I have a nokia 6630 pone and i used to do all my netsurfing from my pone when i had gprs enabled, but i the end it was to costly to keep up, so i diabled the service.
