Friend possibly paralized.
I am just a wreck right now. One of my good friends was in an accident last night. He is possibly paralized now. He broke his spine in 2 spots and fractured 2 vertibrae. He has no insurance. They are discussing going in to do surgery but do not want to make the injury worse. Please pray for Justin and his mother. He is an only child, and his dad left, so it is just his mom and him. They are both a wreck. Justin is trying to be possitive and crack jokes, but I am just a nervous wreck. He is just 23! Please be careful when 4 wheeling.....his over turned and this is what happened. His stupid friends then MOVED him and took him HOME! Yep....not even to the hospital....this make the injury worse. We need some good vibes for Justin....and me. I am struggling seeing one of my very good friends just laying there and possibly never walking agian. He is toooo young for all this. I want to go to the hospital agian so bad, but work will not let me leave......

I am praying for Justin!
I am from a small town. There was a teenage boy last fall riding a 4 wheeler and he flipped it. He is now paralyzed. My son wants a 4 wheeler as everyone seems to have one. There is no way he is getting one. He is not even allowed to ride a friends.
Try and stay positive.

I don't think they are allowed to refuse help but they can stipulate payment arrangements for surgeries and such. I have insurance and still end up oweing some more.
Good luck to your friend and his mom. I'll definately keep them in my prayers.
 Keep us posted here please.

similar situation here
Sending lots of vibes to Justin and his mother. I know how difficult and stressful this time can be for them. My friend was 16 when using an innertube to ride in on snow behind a 4-wheeler and the 4-wheeler flipped leaving him paralyzed from the neck down. His family also had no insurance and he was life-flighted from Indiana to Atlanta for several surgeries. Lucky for them they are very popular people in our small community and with everyone's donations thru various fundraisers they paid most of their bills for them. Andy is now 18, in a motorized wheelchair, and going to college. He was lucky to have the support he got and still has. He also races go-carts now in a league for handicapped individuals. I hope all goes well for Justin, and let him know that Andy still has an active, social life despite his handicap now. Justin and family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Happy Update!!
Well, Justin is home now! He is in a back brace and is only allowed to sit up for like 30 min at a time and only walk to the bathroom and back to bed.....BUT HE IS ABLE TO WALK!!!! We are all soooo happy for him. BoxerWorld vibes can heal about anything cant they?! Justin still has a long way to go, and of course his mom is still a wreck, but for right now he is on the mends.
They are not going to do the surgery now (IMO it is cause of insurance) but will wait. Thank you all sooooooo much for your well wishes, and keep them comming. This is far from over....but a step in the right direction!
