My Mom could use some prayers and BW vibes

For the past week my Mom has had some shortness of breath. Of course she didn't tell me till Monday, so yesterday I took her to the Dr. since her albuterol inhaler wasn't helping. She did a breathing test on Mom and it was bad, so she sent us off for a chest x-ray. She has COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), which is a combo of chronic bronchitis and a little emphaszema. I'm scared to death what the x-ray will show since her Dad died of lung cancer. I'm such a mess, me and my Mom are sooo close and are together all the time. I can't stand the thought of anything bad happening to her. Not to mention my kids. So please say a little prayer for her that she will be ok. It seems nothing good ever happens in April. Thanks.

Sendig positive thoughts and prayers your way. I deal with charts on patient's with COPD every day and there are newer medications to help al the time. I hope they are able to give her something else that will work better than what she has now. Many many people with COPD go on to live a long time and have active lives with these new medications. Try not to worry too much if possible. Hopefully her X-rays won't show anything serious and a new or different medication will get her back to her normal self. Good luck!

Mom's feeling a little better today. The Dr. gave her some antibiotics and changed her inhaler from Albuterol to Combivent and it seems to be working better. We go back to the doc tomorrow afternoon for the results of the x-ray. Thanks for all your prayers and support.
