Husband and mom in hospital at the same time!

I have taken a break from crying to write an update on my mom. We went to the doctor today, and we were told that mother will die of this cancer. The lung cancer that she has survived twice has come back. The tumor in the back was from the lung cancer. She received radiation for 14 days to shrink the tumor to reduce the pain not to get rid of it.. She can not take chemo and they can not operate. We see a medical oncologist tomorrow. I sure hope that he has a trick for a cure that we do not know about. I pray for a miracle, because that is what it is going to take. I have cried all afternoon, after we got back from the doctor. We were not given a time frame on how long she has, but she seems to be in good spirits. I am the one not doing so good. We need prayers.

Hi Cindy,

I am so sorry to hear this sad news about your mum...just try and stay strong for her....and most of all love her.... I lost my mum to cancer 8 years ago.... during the last few months of my mum's life....we became so close, my mum was so strong and our love made it so much easier to cope with her illness. Last year my sister in law died with lung cancer....but believe me she didnt give in easily...she even went back to work....and brought herself a big red sportscar....she enjoyed her life right up until the end. Well Cindy just try and stay strong...I know just how you are feeling....my prayers and thoughts are with you... give your mum a hug from us in the UK.
