I am home again for just a little while. I brought my husband home Thursday. He is recovering slowly. I think that he will make a full recovery in a few weeks. However, the news for my mom is not as good. She is a two time lung cancer survivor. The compression fracture that occured in her back seems to be a tumor. The bone scan showed that this was the only tumor. Good news. We will remain in the hospital through the weekend to keep her pain and anxiety managed. She will have a PET scan Monday morning and a biopsy Tuesday. She can not be operated on because she only has one lung and her heart problem. If this tumor is cancer, it can be treated with radiation. I believe 14 treatments. She is 75 years young. I hope that her health can hold out. She is tired and weak. The wonderful prayers of all have worked so far. I just pray that the news will continue to be good. I love my friends at Boxerworld. You are the best. Last year at this same time, Delilah had the tumor in her nose that the doctors thought was cancer. It was only a cyst. Could I be so fortunate that this is only a cyst. The doctors are fairly sure that it is cancer, but treatable and caught early. All three cancers have been caught by accident. Her doctors calls her the cat. I just wonder how may of those 9 lives has she used. I pray that she has a few left. I will keep everyone posted.
Crosssed Paws,
Cindy

Wow Cindy and I thought I was going through a lot.
We will be sending you positive quick healing vibes to you and your family. As you know i have been going through a lot with my mom she also has CHF and with her recent surgeries I was so afraid it was going to come on again.
When she had her bone scan we were warned of a possible tumor but she didn't have any just lots and lots of compression fractures.
Hang in there girl, you know how powerful the BW vibes can be.
If you need to talk I think you have my email I still have yours I think. If not PM me
Take care of yourself,(like I should talk )

Cindy, I hope your mother's cancer can be treated with radiation, since that is the only place it's showing up.
Will keep fingers and paws crossed that things turn out okay. Please keep us posted!
Healing vibes to your mother and hubby~~~~~~~~~~~~

I am back home now. Mike is doing very good. I got my mother home today and stayed at her home all day. I can only say that this has been a very bad 10 days. At least I will sleep at home tonight. Mother had a very painful biopsy yesterday of the growth in her lower spine. She was awake, under some sedation, but awake. It was very painful. The PET scan showed a very small spot on her lung. The lung doctor was not very concerned at this point. He was more concerned about the back and the pain. They were able to inject a type of bone "cement into the fracture". This is relatively a new procedure. We should hear from the biopsy tomorrow. If this is cancer again, it has been found early. So they feel that it can be treated with raditation. She is resting and feeling better. She is not in the pain that she was in. Her back is sore. I will be back over to her house tomorrow. I will keep everyone updated.

I want to thank all of my Boxerworld family for all of the support and prayers. It has been such a heart warming act of kindness. I can not tell you how you all have helped. We go tomorrow for another biopsy of the spot on the lung. Then we will know what is going on. Please keep those special boxer vibes and prayers coming. You are all such a blessing.
