Please say a prayer for Pepper

Pepper, my 12 1/2 yr. old lab mix is sick. All weekend she didn't eat or drink much, and she just wanted to lie around. She acted like she couldn't stand for long. I got her to eat a handful of food Sunday night.

yesterday, I took her to the vet who took blood and x-rays. She couldn't tell too much from the x-rays, but said she could have a tumor in her lungs as they had fluid in them. I'm taking her back today so they can do an ultrasound on her chest and abdominal areas. The vet said the liver and bladder also looked differently shaped on the x-rays too.

I don't know if this is the beginning of the end, but all I want right now is for her to be comfortable. She just can't get comfortable right now when she lies down. Poor baby! She is so sweet and loving--I hate to see her suffer.

So, we need some of those powerful Boxerworld vibes!!

Thanks everyone, for the prayers and good vibes. Pepper is at the vet now, and I go pick her up at 4:30 EST. I'm not very hopeful, though. Before I took her to the vet this morning, I took her out to potty. That was a major deal, getting her out. She doesn't want to get up, and is unsteady on her feet. She tried to poo, but no luck. She hasn't peed in a long, long time--over 24 hrs. probably!! She drinks water, but nothing has come out!

I think her systems are shutting down. If that's the case, I'm afraid I'll have to have her put down. She's in pain, too. I can't stand seeing her suffer.

Thanks again for all the support. I'll need it today--and some courage, too!
