Ok, Melissa had her surgery today and is doing good right now. She is in a lot of pain, they are trying to get that under control but she is awake on & off and eating ice chips. She will be in ICU for a few days. The only bad thing is that they couldn't get it all and have to go in again in a few months, but that is also a good thing. Because they didn't mess around with her facial nerve which could've been paralized if the brain was too swollen. SO, for now she is doing good and hopefully I can go see her in a few days.

What good news that this surgery is over. I'm sure she wishes she doesn't have to go through another, but it sounds like it may be better for her in the long run to wait for the second surgery. I know you all are relieved this first surgery is over. I'll still keep her in my prayers.
