Unhappy Hubby needs some speedy healing vibes

I had posted a thread in chit chat that hubby is suffering from muscle spasms. He has been taking an anti-inflammatory and muscle relazer for 1 week and does not feel better. He is stubborn. He went to work 3 days last week and I think he pushed him self when he shouldn't have. I am trying to get him to go back to the doctor to see exactly what the problem is or a chiropractor. Wish me luck. Now I worry that we may not be able to take our vacation at the end of May to Punta Cana. He said if he is no better when it gets closer to the trip, he wants me to cancel our trip. I pick up plane tickets and everything tomorrow. This was supposed to be a special vacation to celebrate our 10th anniversary. I am so down in the dumps about him feeling horrible. But he has to do something about it. Please send Erik speedy healing vibes that he gets better real soon. I know Boxerworld people always come through.

Oh, Linda, that's terrible!

Definitely drag Erik to a chiropractor - they can do some amazing things to resolve pinched nerves, pulled muscles, all sorts of things. I had sporadic numbness in one of my hands for months, then I went to a chiropactor and after 4 sessions it was gone.

I hope he feels better in time for your trip!

Linda - you tell that stubborn man to go to a massage therapist. Every day for a week. Start slow and then have the therapist build up to a stronger massage. It works miracles. I have had troubles with horrible muscle spasms in my back on and off for a long time, and it's the ONLY thing that works for me. After dealing with a sore and most likely grumpy husband, you'll need the vacation!

Here's hoping he's feeling better soon.

Is it his back that is in pain? I couldn't understand it very clearly but if it is, try lying down on the floor flat for a while. See, my father's discs on his back sometimes get tangled with his muscles ( anybody understood what I'm trying to say?) and when he lies down on the floor with no pillow or anything, the pain goes away because the muscles relax and the discs are free!!!
just a thought!

have a happy 10th anniversary!!!

Thank you everyone for your well wishes. You have brought a smile to my face. He seems to be a little better today, can sit a little longer at the dinner table. I went out and bought him these heat wraps to go around his back (Therma-care) you wear them for 8 hours. They seem to be helping somewhat. I still intend on being persistent on getting him to a chiro or physical therapy real soon. Thanks and keep those healing vibes coming.

In physical therapy, they can use ultra-sound to deep heat the muscles. I went last year for tendinitis, and they used ultra-sound on it, and it really worked!! They also used some kind of topical medication that penetrated the skin while using ultra-sound. If he doesn't want to go to a chiropractor, get his doctor to refer him to P.T.

Good luck and <<<<<<<more healing vibes>>>>>>>>>
