Oh Elizabeth!!! I am so sorry to hear about Junior. Zach had a grade 1 mast cell tumor removed in July, which was malignant. The Oncologist felt comfortable enough to do no further treatment and just keep an eye on him. I know how you feel and I send some positive vibes your way. Give Junior a big boxer slurp from Zach.

I am so sorry to hear about your news!!! Beau just had two tumors removed(both benign) and I know that waiting to find out the results is the hardest thing. I will be praying for Junior to be fine and Beau sends lots of kisses!!! Hang in there and be strong for your baby!!!

Elizabeth I am sorry about Junior. Austin had a grade 2 mast cell removed 2 weeks ago. My vet, who I trust completely, didn't feel the need to do any further testing on him. Just watch. His too was on his front leg. I really hope things turn out ok. I don't think he'll be going to the bridge anytime soon. Hugs.

EBeth,

I'm so very sorry about Junior. Roxy had a grade 2 malignant tumor removed when she was 2. She turned 6 in April. I'm sure that Junior's blood results will come back just fine and all you will have to worry about is loving and spoiling him as he is accustomed to.

Update- miracles happen :)

Thank you all of you! I really needed these kinds word to carry me today as this morning, Junior's sutures were dramatical swollen. I had taken him in twice because of the swelling and they said to just watch it... well.... this am it was a 4 inch diameter swollen mass with a golfball size swell under the fur (new one) I called and brought him right in. They took him right away as he had to go under anaesthia and through the whole process again
They took out the 4 inch suture, drained and cleaned the area. He was resutured up and now is resting on the couch at home. Good new though- his blood work was clean!!! Hooray!! And, the vet did not charge for this second operation nor medications which should have been several hundered dollars. The scar will be much more now but at least he is going to be OK. He was peppy in the car on the way home but now is quite groggy... I will stay up most of tonight to watch him. I told my new job that I will start next Tuesday (instead of tomorrow) because of him and they said no problem

So, thank you all... I know it was all the boxer prayers and those boxer angels at the rainbow bridge sending him boxer love.

I will keep you all posted... and will be on the board to support anyone who needs it.

Much boxer love and appreciation,

ElizabethH

Elizabeth,

That is such great news. Junior, you are just too tough to let a little ole' thing like that get you down. But don't be too tough to cuddle with your mom. You both need that right now. Elizabeth, I am glad it is such good news. We were sure pulling for you. Five and Tyson both send big boxer hugs....and so do I.
