Health Problem..
Hi Everyone,
I've got a problem and before I talk with my family I thought I would ask for advice from BoxerWorld..
I've had a bad back for several years. Several back surgeries.
We got our "charlie" and he's going to be seven months old on the 7th of April. He's a wonderful boy, brindle with flash, natural ears, docked and just neutered. We've taken him to obedience class and he did well - still the puppy in him but listens good.
I'm having a hard time with walking and handling him and it's starting to get me down. Plus I don't think he's getting the exercise he needs.
I hate the thought of finding a new home for him but I think that might be the best thing for him.
Any advice on how I would find a "good" and "loving" home without putting an ad in the paper. Don't know who I would get that way.
thanks.. please don't think badly of me. I love him so much and that's why I'm thinking of doing this.
Carrie....

Carrie......can your family not help out with the walking and exercise part of owning a boxer? How sad it would be for you and him to have to find him a new home. If you feel you have to do this (which I commend you for thinking of his needs), I would reccomend you calling your local boxer rescue and they can find him a loving and forever home.
Please talk to your family and see if they can take up giving him his daily exercise.
Wishing you all the best. I hope your back gets better soon.

I am sorry to hear about you having a hard time... I can imagine how hard it is to find a new home for a beloved fur baby...
Do you have some firends that would like to keep your Charlie?
Wishing you all the best and hoping you can arrange it with your friends.

Hi sorry to hear about your back problems, know what you mean, I have a friend whos had several neck operations, really tough someone gave her a pup at Christmas and its also hard for her to do a lot of things with her dog, but what she does ,she found a student to come a nd walk her dog for her. she pays her and they both love each other too! works out well for all three.

Thanks..
I want to Thank all of you for being so concerned.
I think we're going to be able to work it out. "charlie" is so good and it seems the process that they will be doing for my thoraxic disc won't be as complicated. It's in the middle of my back and they will be able to help the pain (I hope)... I've had ten other major back surgeries and I was so concerned about "charlie" not having enough to do.
It's going to work out... My husband and family are going to help and "charlie" will adjust to the routine.
Thanks again...
love,
Carrie....
