Chuck is doing really well. Sometimes I can even forget that there is anything going on, at least for a little bit. He's had 2 rounds of chemo and the second was less eventful than the first. The 3rd one is in 2 weeks. He looks like he has lost weight because the lymph nodes in his neck are no longer swelled. Our oldest niece, who is an RN, has been checking on him quite a bit to make sure her favorite uncle is ok. The weight thing seems to throw some people but it's just a perception, he hasn't lost anything. He does seem to have a little less energy which concerns him now that spring will be here soon. We spend so much time outside doing projects that he's concerned how he's going to feel when he has chores to do.

Now the fun part starts because the bills are starting to roll in. Luckily he has good insurance and all of our out of pocket expenses have been reimbursed so far.

Thanks to all who continue to keep us in their thoughts and prayers. You'll never know how much we appreciate you!

I'm glad he's doing so well with chemo and that the lymph nodes are that much less swollen already.

Are there any resources in your state to help pay for cancer treatments? I know where I live there are a few that can help out with some expenses.

I'll keep thinking healing thoughts for you guys.

I am glad he's doing well. Being tired should subside, I would think, once the treatments are done.
I will be saying some prayers for you guys and your family. Please remember to take care of yourself as well

It's good to hear that Chuck is doing well. HOPEFULLY, he will maintain his energy level. If he is chore driven guy (and it sounds like he is), I bet it will. Hang in there you two and keep us updated.

Chuck finished his 3rd round of chemo yesterday. 3 down, 3 to go! His doctor told him that he is responding to treatment marvelously. The doctor seemed surprised that he hasn't missed any work but that puzzled me because the same doctor told us before any treatments started that he shouldn't expect to miss work except on the days where chemo would take all day

He's only lost 3 pounds which confirms that just the fact that his lymph nodes are back to normal which just makes him "look" like he's lost weight. I"m just thrilled that things seem to be going quite well and I don't spend most of my waking hours being scared anymore. There still is that fear of what might be, but I'm not dwelling on it.
