thankyou

Thanks for your messages..I am fine until anyone shows any kindness then I am in tears..I have to let work know when I am going back but I don't know how long I need to take..a week..what is the average time? Mums funeral is the 24th may..we had to wait as our priest is away..he knew mum and we didn't want anyone else to do the service.

I don't know if there is an average time given. Most employers have a set time that they will give for bereavement. My employer only gave me 3 days when my Mum died. Take as much time as you need.

Take care!

I took two weeks off Louise, my work were great about it and let me have it off on full pay. I just couldn't go back to work I knew I wouldn't be able to put a front on, not even for the children. When I did go back I avoided people as much as I could because I knew that any kind words etc and I'd start crying.
Hugs for you Louise, I know what you're going through x

I decided to go back to work on monday the 13th....I am sure I will be ok as long as nobody shows me any sympathy...I only work 18hrs a week so it's not as if I am there a great deal. We have booked the funeral..everything is done except for the order of service..I am going to design and make those..with the help of my son.

I'm the same, Louise - fine until the first person says how sorry they are. Is there someone you could ask to spread the word that you'd really rather not talk about it just yet?
