Please say a few prayers for a good neighbor

If you find some time, please say a little prayer for my mom's neighbors. Early Sunday morning someone broke into their home and beat them both with a baseball bat. My mom was awaken by the sheriff department beating on her door making sure that she was ok. This happened in a rural neighborhood to people who are 81 and 69 years old. I have known Frank for 34 years and he is the type of man who will do anything for anyone. Frank heard their front door close and he got up to see what it was. He found a man in his living room who proceeded to beat him unconscious. The man then went into the bedroom to beat Sue, who managed to fight back enough to scare him off. A kind newspaper reporter has offered to call my mom if she finds out anything about their condition because the hospitals understandably won't give out any information. The last we heard was that Frank was in ICU but was ok. But being 81 years old, we are still very concerned. Never in my life would I imagine something like this happening to people I know. This world can be a scarey place.

Man... Some people. My thoughts and prayers are with them. I hope they find the person that did this and they get what they have coming to the!!!

My prayers for your mom's neighbors. I hope they will both be ok. What should be done to the perpetrators isn't fit to be printed on this website.

That's horrible. Someone should do the same thing to this person. Sending lots of prayers to your Mom's neighbors. Hope they are both ok.

I just got news that poor Frank has passed away. He was determined to be brain dead and they removed him from life support. His wife is out of the hospital and was able to spend time with him today. Now there is a murderer out there and the police still don't know who or why. It's feels so weird....like a television crime show in your own front yard - literally.

Poor Frank and Sue. I will be keeping Sue in my thoughts and prayers. I am so sorry this happened to them.

Oh I am so sorry to hear this terrible news of the vicious attack in your mom's neighborhood.....so sorry her neighbor died!!

It's impossible to imagine how a person could do something like this to elderly people, to anyone for that matter, but especially the elderly. My heart goes out to Sue - I keep her in my prayers, and say a prayer for Frank, may he rest in peace.

OMG this is like a horrible movie happening to someone you know. Sending out loads of prayers to Sue to get through this terrible time. Sure hope they are able to catch the guy that did this. Just horrible.

I am so sorry that Frank and Sue suffered this horrible event, and now Sue is left alone. Tragic. Everyone concerned is in my prayers. I also pray that they find the murderer before he has the opportunity to harm anyone else.

My heart and prayers go out to Sue and anyone else in the family/friends circle. May dear Frank find peace and happiness beyond the bridge, and Godspeed to you sir. As for the person (if you can call someone who does this a person) that did this, may God have more mercy on him/her than I would.
