Well the psych rang and said mum was making really good progress, I said how come I wasn't witnessing that then when I visited and said I thought mum was pulling the wool over their eyes.
I said mum could come home for the day yesterday, she was like oh good, we're looking at your mum coming home to for good in 3 - 4 weeks. I couldn't believe it and said we hadn't really discussed whether we trusted her enough to come back home ever but she said that was what was going to happen and if she wasn't able to come home they'd have to put her in a care home.
Anyway to cut a long story short we picked her up yesterday morning, her mood was very low, so low that the morning dragged very slowly. She kept coming out with bizarre comments such as she was going to prison, that myself and husband would lose our house because of her and many other weird things.
After lunch my son caught mum trying to hide a steak knife down her trouser waistband, she was she said not going to use it on herself while here but take it back to the mental ward and do away with herself there She said my life would be so much better without her in it. She pleaded with me not to tell them she'd done it, we took her back immediately.
I know in my heart that I can never have her home again, too much has happened and we would never trust her again. I can't let my family go through this anymore.
Please though, when you're saying your prayers tonight, say one for my mum x

We are praying for you and your family. It is so stressfull and confusing to be around people you care about that are so depressed. You certainly need not comment on this, but hopefully you can consider getting a bit of family counseling - to not be feeling guilty about all this. Sounds like you have really done your best over the years.

I still continue to check on you and your mum, hoping there has been a ray of light somewhere. I hope you, your family and your mum can find peace somehow. You are not alone and hope that you can find the help that is needed for you all.

Thank you x
Mum is still having weird thoughts, she asked me to bring in some clothes for her court appearence. She thinks she's not unwell and is commiting fraud by being in hosiptal, using tax payers money when she shouldn't be in there. nothing we say gets through to her that she is indeed ill, mentally ill.
We have also decided that she will eb going into a residential home once well again as she needs care that we can not give her here.

I cannot even imagine how difficult these decisions are for you and what your family is going through. It sounds as if having your mom go into a residential care home will be the best for you all, although I know it is a hard thing to decide. You can only take care of someone up to a point, and your mom needs much more care than you can provide or should even attempt. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.
