Another Nephew Who Needs Your Prayers

Sending lots of prayers for you and your family. I have a friend at work who's wife gave birth at 24 weeks, he was only 18oz. Evan just turned 3 years old on 11 Apr. He is so beautiful, when you look at him, you know you are looking at a miracle. He is very small still, only 21lbs, but healthy and vibrant. I remember both of them being distraught having to go home without him, but he was home by July. With alot of prayers, medicine and a little luck (for those who believe in that) things will turn out for the best

I missed this post - sending positive vibes to Jordan! A friend of mine delivered at 24 or 25 weeks and their son is doing great now - he's two! Please keep us posted to his development.

Hello again. I just wanted to post an update on Jordan's progress. Unfortunately, he has lost weight...back to 1lb 15oz's...his weight when he was born on May 4. He has had problems with a heart murmur, but the doctors wanted to wait to see if the valve (that normally closes itself after a full term birth) would close on it's own. It hasn't and it's causing complications. He was transferred to CHEO NNICU on Sunday and is being prepared for surgery. His lungs will be collapsed to allow the surgeon to repair the heart valve. The family is anxiously waiting for some good news.
My brother and SIL were able to hold him a couple of times since his birth, but not in the last week as his condition has not been the greatest and he has been very agitated.
Again folks, please say a prayer for Jordan and ask that he be given the strength he needs to thrive. He is such a precious little angel that was only too anxious to bless the world with his presense.

I am glad your brother and SIL got to hold him, I think that must be a very hard thing, not being able to hold your own little baby. Saying a special prayer for Jordan today!
