Test Tomorrow...Nerves Are Shot!
Tomorrow I am having a Colonoscopy. I knew this was coming and couldn't be avoided because of my stomach troubles, (not being able to eat anything and keep it down), but I am so freakin nervous I'm making myself sick today!! When I get nervous, I get sick...that's my makeup! If you never heard of this, it's a small camera that allows the doc to see into the bowel. He's also going to go down my throat with a camera for the stomach...2 birds with one stone. He's promised me that he is very generous with his drugs...lol..he's a great doc...and that I will be completely out and not feel a thing. Jokingly, I asked if he was gonna do the throat first, well, cuz...ewww...ya know. He replied "well, if I forget and do the south end first, the nurse will just wipe off the camera before we go down the throat"!! I guess the look on my face was enough for the doc not to contain his laughter at his own joke..."priceless"...ya..thanks doc!
So, today at 3pm, I have to start drinking a 4 litre jug of Colyte...8oz's every 10 minutes.. that will clean me out for the test tomorrow. Oh joy! The test is scheduled for 7am.
PLEASE send some of those great BW vibes my way. I sure could use some today.

Positive vibes definitely coming your way! Dh had that done a few years ago and it's not a pleasant experience, but so worth it in the long run. Good luck! Dh says the worst part truly is the "cleaning out process" - the actual procedure is the easy part.

Hope all goes well! At least it's first thing in the morning so it's over and done for the day.

Good luck with your tests.
Seems like your doc has a sense of humor not like some old grumpy ones I could mention.

Sharon, you will be fine, I promise..My youngest son had it done a couple of years ago, and I'm so sorry, but when they brought him back to the ward, I was creased with laughter..He was so full of drugs, he was talking in 'slow motion'...He wasn't in any pain, but he wasn't quite 'with it', and kept saying 'I love you Muuuuummmmmmy' in this long drawn out voice, like he was the wooky out of star wars, and all the family were standing round the bed creased with laughter! ....I''s my party piece now, to do an impression of Terry, after his colonoscopy!, it is guaranteed to have him shrinking in embarrassment, and have me the star of the show!!!!
You know I'm sending you more than vibes, I'm sending you all of our love and prayers that you will come out of your ordeal fine..And without showing yourself up forever in front of your family!! (((((Hugs))))) and lots, and lots of love from me and Mills. XX..Let us know how you get on.

I put my endoscopy and colonoscopy off for years, and finally had it done not too long ago. It really wasn't bad at all - anesthesiologist told me to count to ten, and the next thing I knew, I was in recovery. Hugs ~ Cathy

So now I'm home and it's all over! I didn't feel a thing like the doc promised. He started off with 3 syringes of anestetic and used 3 more after each time I moaned or mumbled "owww"!
I have to go back to the doctors office as apparenlty I have polips on my bowel. Well...now I know right!
Thanks for all the vibes guys! They always help. I'm off to la-la land for a couple of hours. Geesh, it took me almost 30min. to type this.
