What would you do?
A couple weeks ago I left a deposit with my breeder for a flashy fawn male. The litter was born a couple of days ago and he said he was dissapointed with it as there were 3 whites and no males. My options are to wait until the next litter is born the middle of august; look into a 3 week flashy brindle, or they also just got back a 10 week old falshy fawn male from one of their customers not knowing that one of the children has a allergic reaction to boxers. The owners had the dog 10 days and the ears were done before they got him. What do you think? Should I wait? Its pretty tempting because this is exactly what I'm looking for. They said conformation is great so far other than the fact that the testicles haven't come down (I probably won't show anyway)

10 weeks old! I say go for it. He is only 2 weeks older than you would get anyway. Rowdy's testicles didn't drop until he was about 10 months old. If you are ready, why wait?

You should go and have a look at him. You won't know if he's right for you or not unless you meet him.

The puppy is actually almost 11 weeks but the owners only had him for 10 days. It will be a week before I can bring him home as I need to get a crate, food, misc other stuff and schedule some off time from work to get him adjusted. Thanks Rowdy's dad. Hopefully I will get him after some more thinking and after i go check him out. How much of a difference in your boxer puppy from 8-12 weeks?

My breeder did not let Brutus (or any of her pups) go until they were 10 wks. old, she said this is her policy and I really don't remember a lot of difference in the first few weeks. I mean he got a little bigger, but he was still just such a young pup. Look at it this way it is just a few weeks less (hopefully) of potty training

What would I do?? Well, I'd hightail it down there as soon as possible to meet the 11 week old Boxer and see if he was the right pup for me! From what you've written, it's hard to imagine that he wouldn't be the right pup! Keep us posted and let us know what you decide.

11 weeks 12 weeks that is just as much of a baby puppy boxer boy as it would be at 8 weeks....I personally would run right down there and start getting to know him, even if you need a week to prepare i would go visit him...think about it this way he's just a baby and needs someone to take him home..

update guys. I talked to the breeder today and I will be going to meet him sunday morning. Then possibly take him home the end of next week. They said he's having a great time with some of the other dogs right now. Thanks for the Input!

Great decision. If given the choice, I'd rather bring home a puppy who is 11 or 12 weeks rather than 8 weeks. Still young and just as cute, but a little easier. Let us know if you're going to get him. How exciting!!

10 weeks old.... That is how old my first boxer and I fell completly in love with him... I thought he was the perfect age... (unfortunatly he was stolen a couple weeks later).. I later got another boxer and she was 7 weeks old, I can say that I prefer the 10 week old better...Good luck in what ever decision you make..

Sounds like your furbaby is just waiting for you to take him home!
