New Puppy

It has been almost 5 months since we lost our Jake to cancer, but we are opening our hearts and home to a new puppy. She is a white boxer and her name is Lizzie. We are all so excited and a little bit sad at the same time, but I'm sure as soon as we hold her all will be well It has been almost 11 years since we've had a puppy in the house and boy have things changed alot. Lizzie's breeder raw feeds, so I've been doing alot of research on that and I think I've got most of it figured out. Her breeding is part English and part North American. I did alot of research into boxers and cancer and found that the European bloodlines tend to have less cancers than the North American. I know nothing is guaranteed, but I feel like I might be a step ahead. The breeder health tests all of her dogs and Lizzie has already had two heart checks and a thumbs up from the vet. She will be 12 weeks old when we get her and already has been started on her crate training. Wish us luck!

If only everyone would research and study up on the breed like you have! There would be less poor-bred boxers out there. Sounds like you really know your boxer biz as far as preparations. I hope all goes well for you. She will have a very happy home with your family. Congrats!
