The puppy should do just fine. My neice and her husband did traveling nursing all over with 2 boxers, puppies, and they did great. Where in Missouri are you getting your baby? I am from Missouri. Just curious. Good luck and have fun! Have a safe and wonderful trip. If you decide to drive.

Thanks, Abby Angel. I've definitely made the decision to drive. I think the advice on here was spot on. I'm sure it will be a great bonding experience.
Thanks, also, for the advice about the blanket. I will definitely get a blanket with the mom's scent on it. It sounds like a good way to keep the puppy calm and to deal with any separation anxiety.
I'm getting the boxer from a breeder who is located on the east side of Missouri. (The BW breeder solicitation rules are broad, so I'm trying to respect them by not saying the actual city or name of the boxer club.) She was recommended by the local boxer club. I am absolutely certain that she is very reputable, and I thank the club for recommending her.
Thank you for your well wishes. I'm definitely looking forward to the road trip and to sharing my home with the new puppy. Now, I just need a name!
