What to look for?

I have found a breeder I like, she has done all the health testing and is sending me them in the mail. She has a 17 week male with ears cropped. She said his bite is not quite right and 1 testicle has not dropped--no big deal for me--I just want a pet. He is adorable, but I haven't met him yet. When I do- will I still be able to tell if he is right for me, being most of his litter is gone already? Its not like a bunch of 7 week old puppies climbing all over me!!! Also, is there anyway to tell if there is seperation anxiety issue?? That is one thing I definately do not want to deal with again!!!

I feel your puppy picks you. When you meet the little guy, play with him, see how he reacts to different stimuli and such. As for the seperation anxiety, not sure how to tell. Maybe if you go outside for like 10 min and see how he does. The breeders should be willing to do that. Play with his toys and try to take one. See how he is with agressivness. See if you can give him a little snack in his bowl, and see how he reacts to you beside him, petting him, etc. Ask to take him for a walk. If he has dog aggression, you should notice it. They should be willing to let you do what you want to insure this is the puppy you want. Just a few ideas. I know with Tyson, ever since we brought him home, during his feeding, I put my hands in the bowl to feed him some that way. Also when he eats a RMB, I take it from him and give it back. I also get on the floor and hug and kiss him while he eats eat. He has no food agression what so ever.
