Breeder in Colorado

Hello,
My husband and I are looking for a reputable breeder in the Colorado Springs area. We are willing to travel a reasonable distance. Does not have to be Champion bloodline. Just looking for a companion. We would prefer a fawn with white markings, a puppy and a female. We've looked locally and are confused what to look for in a breeder, as well as what price is reasonable. If anyone has any suggestions for us we would greatly apprieciate it. Thanks in advance.

I don't know if you have done this yet, but I should warn you that your first post is supposed to be in the 'Introductions' section, where you introduce yourself to everyone. Not a life story, just a hello and a little about you, I guess. I just thought I would tell you before one of the moderators do!

Of course reputable breeders aren't going to be on this site selling their puppies, but there is a list of Boxer Clubs (the link below). That is a good place to start looking for a reputable breeder, although I would go with your other choice and adopt a rescue

Good luck!

BOx3R:

Please post your introduction in the Introduction thread. This is something required of all members and is something you agreed to when you accepted the rules of the board. That should have been your first post before posting in other forums, as was also explained in the email you received. Thanks!

I am in Colorado and looking for a reputable breeder as well. I'll keep you posted if I find one. So far, I've had no success finding one because the colorado boxer club webpage is really old, and I can't get a response from any of the people listed (although I haven't tried them all)

Yeah, I thought about that after I posted it... sorry What I was trying to do was check BW's list of approvable breeders and then repost that but I couldn't find the link

Try google searching reputable boxer breeders and there are some websites out there that list which ones do health testing, et cetera. We just picked a breeder out by the google searching but she is out of state and we have to wait until 2007 until we get our pup but it is worth the wait.
