I'm a event decorater. I go out to events and fill balloons and decorate with them. Big job is 10,000 balloon drop and a small job is a few hundred. I freelance for 7 decoraters and been doing this for 20 years. People walk in the room and just stand there and smile. We hand tie all the balloons. DH is the midwest sales manager for Pioneer Balloon Co. They manufacter the balloons.

I like this thread!!!
I am a registered dental hygienist. I get to clean all the crap out of everyones mouth. I love my job. I am considering going back to college for my BA so that I can be a drug rep, hopefully in the dental field.
DH is a detention officer for the local sheriffs department. He works at the jail booking in all the criminals. He plans on going to the road soon.

I am a medical assistant in an Internal Medicine office. Work with one of the best doctors in town. Been there for almost two years. Worked at an ENT practice for four years before that. Also worked with the doctors there, went to the OR to help with surgery, and was certified in the testing and treatment of allergies. Before that, worked in Labor and Delivery assisting with C-sections. Luckily the same company owns all of these so I have been with the same company since 1999. I am really happy where I am now. The regular Doctors are not near as high maintenance as Surgeons.

That is so true--how can people walk around with that junk in their mouths for all those years?? Seriously that is just major EWWW and I work on teeth but that grosses me out as bad as dentures sometimes. I like to see nice, pretty pearly whites

I'm an Ultrasonographer, and if I had a dollar for every male patient that asked me if he's having a boy or a girl while I am looking at his liver, gallbladder and kidneys, I'd have enough money to feed my dogs all year!!!!

I work at a catalog call center for Cabela's. I'm not sure if anyone know what Cabela's is, it is like Bass Pro but better . Basically, when you call to order something, I'm the one that answers. Good money but very boring, since I'm pretty active. I've completed all my prerequisites for the R.N. program, and this fall, I get to start the "real" classes. I hope to work in a Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit or Maternity ward when I get done in 2 years.
The DH puts in phone lines, so he gets to be outside all day. Good in the spring and fall, not so good in the winter and summer . When I get done with school he'll go back to school for the auto mechanic sort of thing.

How funny for you to mention the Praxis, I just found my test results for that today. I took the test back in 2000 when I was taking classes to be an English teacher. Weird....

well...here goes
My husband is a Sgt in the Army, he's been in for two years. He joined at 32 (almost didn't get in for his age). He loves it, he's an 88M-to those of us who don't speak Army jargon that's a convoy truck driver. UGH, he could have chosen a safer job....We are at our first duty station in Germany (wanted to get our overseas tour out of the way first). We will be going to Colorado in July. He loves the Army-it works great for him. Let me correct that-He loves his job-IT works for him....nuf said...
I am a Landscape Architect, specializing in Urban Planning and Irrigation Design, doesn't sound fun but I LOVE it. I just got my Masters in Business with a focus in Construction Administration prior to coming over to Germany. My goal in life is to own/run a Landscape business out of a nursury, doing residential design (taking my pups to work with my!). Husband wants me to get that started once we get to Colorado, we both want to stay there.
Pretty much-life is great for us-no complaints here just ready to get back to speaking ENGLISH AGAIN!!!
My boxers speak Germany primarily (being that they are German) but know English as well (they're so smart!)
