Baby!

DH and I are expecting our first (and only ) baby on January 28th. We are very excited, but nervous at the same time. I think a second boxer would have been cheaper and less scary....but oh well.

I'd post my ultrasound pic, but it resembles a gray blob on a lighter gray blob...not too exciting.

Congrats!!!! Such an exciting time! I can see Johann growing up withing hours and tending to the baby while he patiently waits for you to realize the baby is crying. LOL Yeah, he's gonna be the ultimate nanny dog, I'm sure of it!

Congratulations !!! I love good news. However being a mother of two sons I think a boxer is easier on the pocket, they are fine up to the point of 18 when they start driving and then college fees and digs ect, Im just wondering will they ever be self sufficent.

now i see the post !! see i said i missed something ! ( hard to beleive since i am on here 3 times a day - lol )

but a previous poster said something that made me think about when my grandson come home from the hospital. We had only had same about 6-7 mo at this time , so i wa a little worried .. ha ! Sam was the most annoying baby sitter EVER !!!!

EVERY SINGLE PIC saam was in it some place , if Lukas even wimpered ( in HIS room w/HIS mom ) sam in my room would wake me & tell me ! if my daughter didnt fix it fast enough to suit sam , sam would come find me & tell me ... if they - god forbid - LEFT with the baby , sam would tell me ( till they came home ! ) sam would sit with his head on the bassinet , and just stare at the baby !

it was cute , the first week .......

Lukas is 1 1/2 now , and he is still sams ! the kids have since moved out & away abit and we dont get to see much of them , but they are here on vac this week, and sam is in heaven .... ( new crash course in leave it -lol) Lukas calls sam to him ( he made his own hand signal - like he sees me signal sam , and CALLS sam to come lick him !!! **sigh ** but it is super cute !

also when i was getting the nursery ready , ( i painted a mural on the wall ) i would always let sam see everything & be in the room with me . I know some ppl say AlWAYS keep the dog out of the room , but i wanted sam to be apart of everything & i felt by keeping him away , it would stress him because of so many changes. It worked well for us.

enjoy the new arrival - get LOTS of sleep now - and play with your pup !!
