Thanks everyone! We are very excited and slowy getting prepared. Babies apparantly need a lot of stuff.

I am, however, sick of people saying "Once you have the baby, you won't love your dog anymore". Someone else was horrified that I was not concerned about Johann killing the baby. The unwanted parenting/pregnancy advice is bad enough....but those comments about my boy really made me mad.

OMG!!!!! If I ever have kids and someone said anything like that to me, I would go off!!!! Having a baby changes nothing how you feel about your dog! WTH!!!!!!

One of my friend who is expecting involves her dog in everything related to the baby. She loves him more now than ever!

People are so dumb with their comments! Too bad you can't slap some common sense into people!

The people who say things like this should be pitied. The obvioulsy have never loved or been loved by a pet. So next time someone says something as stupid as this, just look at them like they just lost their best friend and tell them how sorry you are that they have never known the unconditional love you have both for and from Johann.

Thank you! Much better response than "shut up".....which is what I've been saying.

Just stumbled on this post......I know I know, I'm late. But I just became a member! Congrades on the little package on the way. Do we know if it's a boy or girl yet?
Oh, and who's gonna hold your leg in the delivery room? LOL

Baby is a very un-bashful boy!! His "stuff" was the first thing we saw on the ultrasound- tech was very glad we wanted to know because it would have been hard to avoid.

I'm going to be rather outnumbered between DH, Johann, and Marty.....maybe we'll get a girl boxer in a few years.

Awwww......or maybe, just maybe, you'll have to have one more and cross your fingers for a girl.
So aren't you afraid Johann is going to hurt him?! just kidding, what stupid people you've talked to. I'd be more afraid of having human people around my baby than our family dog. I'm sorry you've had to put up with such ridiculous comments
