Mineral make-up
Is anyone using mineral make-up? I see it all over the place now, but have been using the same Clinique foundation for years. I'm really interested in trying it out, but don't know anyone who has tried it.
Anyone have anything good or bad to say about it? Have a certain brand you like?

I sell Avon, so off course I have only tried theirs. I like it. It's very lighweight and really does cover well. At first you don't think it's going to cover, but it does. My aunt has some redness in her face. The mineral makeup really tones it down and makes her skin look great. Make sure you have the proper brush for application. Good luck!

I LOVE my mineral make-up! I will never go back to liquid or matte. I have combination-oily skin and this works wonders. I don't get near the breakouts I used to (I'm 42 and still break out)! I use Bare Escentuals myself, I haven't tried any other brands. It also stays on like you wouldn't believe. LOVE IT!

I rarely wear/wore make-up, because I hate how you can tell when someone is wearing it. I find you can with mose liquid or powder foundations. But with Bare Escentuals, it covers up and evens your tone, without seeing it. You end up looking completely natural. I bought the starter kit, and it was a bit expensive, but lasted a long time.

I also use BE. I cannot say enough good things about it. I would suggest going to a store that is selling it to get you base colour correct. Then look online - I find Seraphora (sp) the best value. Oh - and I would get the small buki brush to help apply.

I've tried the BE because my mom somehow got into the auto-shipment loop. She gave me some to try and personally I don't care for it. I must be doing something wrong because I don't think the coverage is worth a hill of beans. I went back to plain ole cover girl liquid.

Re mineral makeup
I think it is wonderful on younger ladies than myself. I have used Bare Minerals, it is really pretty, but not on me! Lets just say I am over 60 & it shows every wrinkle on my face....I wish I could wear it! It feels so good on and it's good for your skin....good luck!

I've used Jane Iredale, which I didn't really care for (I have little fuzzy hair on my face, and the powder, loose and pressed, seemed to accentuate the hair!).... but I love the Eminence powder- really easy to apply, and you can't even see it- makes my skin tone even, and has SPF 30! I never thought I could use face makeup, but now I use this everyday. It's also really convenient because the powder is stored in the brush applicator- so you never spill, or over use- really compact.

I use the mineral powder from Mary Kay cosmetics. Love it, love it, love it. I have more than my share of wrinkles and it does not lie in them or accentuate them, instead it evens out my skin without looking at all like I have on make up. love that!

Thanks for the replies. I'm glad to hear that several people like it. I think I'll try the Bare Escentuals when I run out of my current liquid foundation!
