Hi guys!

Just wanted to update you on my happenings. I haven't been here too much lately. I decided to stop smoking. There is a support group online that I have been spending lots of time at. It has really helped me, along with chantix. I am proud to say I have gone 16 days without smoking. That in itself is an accomplishment for me.
I try to check in a couple times a week though. You are all not far from my thoughts. I'm still as boxer crazy as I was.
Tyson is doing well also. Getting bigger all the time. I will upload some pictures soon.
So, please just be patient with me as I get this thing I'm battling under control. You wouldn't want me posting in one of my "better" moods
Thanks guys. You are all great!
Kathy

That is awesome you are not smoking. I gave it up 4 years ago. I had a bought with bronchites(sp?) and as I layed on the couch not being able to breath I thought to myself 'this is what will happen if you keep this up'. I went cold turkey that day. I am also proud to say and swear on a stack of bibles that I never, ever, cheated once. Sure wanted to, but didn't.

So keep up the good work. Every day will get better and better. Soon you won't like to smell it. I find it amazing when I am out, say, at the grocery store and you run into people that smoke alot and you smell them and you think to yourself, wow, this is what I smelled like and I wonder if others thought the same.

Anyway, keep it up and if your online group helps you by all means stick with it until you are free of the smokes!

Thank you Amy. I am really surprised at myself. No major cravings. If I do have one, it's just a split second.
I started getting heart palpatations, chest pains, the normal crap with smoking and decided I didn't want that anymore.
I have been trying to keep extremely busy outside and the support group is helping me understand the addiction part of it.
Thanks again. I will be back full time to boxer world. You are all my first love, after Tyson LOL

Thank you Gruntsmom. I just didn't want anyone to think someone had done or said something that may have offended me and I left for good. I love everyone here too much to do that
I am getting to the point that I'm not on the support site constantly, so I've been coming here a little more. Still need my BW fix

Just a little update. I am now at 39 days. I have saved over 200.00! This weekend I am taking that money and Tyson and I are going to Petsmart!
Your healing vibes have really helped, and I am glad to be back here almost as much as I was. Really missed you all.

CONGRATS BIG TIME!! What a great thing to do and look at the money you are saving!! I know how hard it can be I did it for years but after my sister was diagnosed with a rare form of lung cancer I called it quits. Apart from being so bad for us smoking can cause wrinkles as well. So keep up the good work and enjoy your good health and saving too!!

I can't believe how much my face cleared up. I had these really bad dark circles under my eyes. Looked like I hadn't slept in a year. They are completely gone! I can go without makeup and not look like death warmed over. I have been using a homemade sugar scrub to get rid of all that ugly skin. I am in amazement about that. And I can smell things! I put on cream before bed, and I still smell it a few hours after I get up!! Tyson likes my cream too. Every time I put it on, he drools LOL.
