Christmas- ready or not?
Has anyone started their Christmas shopping? I picked up a few things last year for my 2 DD that were on sale dirt cheap. They were swarvoski bracelets on sale for 12.98 each. I got each of them 2. I got BF a crystal dragon on sale cheap also. I am going to do alot of shopping on ebay and on black friday. BF went with me last year on black friday and told me I was nuts. I got a king sized feather down comforter for 20.00 that was originally 120.00, so not too bad. Can't wait. Going to the website to see what stores are posted now for black friday. Supposed to snow this weekend!!

NOT ready here
I have barely given a thought to Christmas shopping... of course, I've had a few things in mind to get BF, but I have been job-hunting for months with no luck. Darned economy! I've had a few photography gigs here and there, but no steady income. I'm still looking though

I'm usually done with Christmas shopping around Thanksgiving or by latest in early December. With the economy the way it is though, I think it's going to be a light Christmas this year!!

I started shopping Thursday. I have all 4 of my nephews done and picked up a couple things for our kids.
DH & I usually shop on Black Friday. I don't know if we will go this year or not.

I've got so much on my mind I haven't really given Christmas any thought, not really looking forward to it this year either to be honest.

I haven't started yet, we found out at work that as we are being paid on the 19th of Dec, we will only receive 3 weeks money! I am known to leave things quite late but always end up getting everything done! I am not mad about christmas so thats probably why.

Glad I'm not the only one Louise, it's not my favourite time of year usually anyway now the children have grown up it's not special anymore. Working at a school we get paid early too and it's a pain waiting all that time for your next pay cheque.
Best I start getting some pressies bought then.

I am doing really well with having alot of my gifts in my mind it just a matter if finding time to actually go and get them that is hard for me. I work in the produce whole sale buisness, so starting with the week before Thanksgiving and ending with New years Day, they are my buissiest times of the year at work! Black Friday will get me at a good point I hope!

I used to love the Holidays, but not so much anymore. Everything is so commercialized now. I'm already hearing Christmas music, ahhhh! I would love to just take the family and go somewhere and skip all the presents, just have fun together. I've often thought I'd love to take them somewhere to work at a homeless shelter for a day so they can truely be thankful for everything they have.
Anywho, I've only bought two gifts so far. I hate trying to find the "perfect" present for people. Oh well, at least I know my furkids will love whatever they get under the tree!

I personally agree that Christmas is so comercialied. It's not my most favorite time of year either. I usually put off shopping until a week or two before. I just couldn't pass up the deal last year. I hate to say it, but when DDs open their gifts, all I can think of is the money it cost me. Years ago I started this thing where I ask them what is the one thing they really want. I try to make sure I get that then a few other things. I don't go all out for it though. I don't even really like decorating the house. Usually DDs do that for me. My depression hits big time during the holidays. I try very hard to stay upbeat for them.
For all you who are without jobs right now, I will pray that you are able to get employment soon.
