I like David Cook ALSO, but.......... I think just like Daughtry he'll need to get his own independent deal so they dont try and force him into something or some style he's NOT... I think seriously that's why Daughtry was voted off early... and he's doing great... no matter what we will hear David Cooks name again after Idol is over and done with...

GO CARLY!!!

I agree! Idol would have held Daughtry back in the long run if he went all the way... and probably the same with David Cook. He has an incredible talent that keeps getting better and better!

I still remember the first time I heard the version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow that Jason Castro sang. It was the episode when "Dr. Mark Greene" died on E.R. I adore that version so of course I loved Jason's performance.

oh I loved that episode if ER... it was so heart wrenching...!!! I think Syesha is gone too... Cook was off his game last night... and Carly's song wasn't a connection for me last night as being inspirational... but that's my opionion, i still love her voice and how she belts out her notes... John Michaels did GOOD... also

I think Jason did good last night... Brooke wasn't so good either... are they doing the switch-a-roos or something and giving the spot lite to other idols...lol

maybe it is such a busy week with the 'give back' episode tonight there wasn't a whole lot of rehearsals... i dunno...lol

I don't care what Randy says, my man Michael Johns rocked that song! I think he is one of the most versatile in the bunch. I have to say, although I'm not a Kristy Cook fan, she did a beautiful job on that Martina McBride song. Best performance she has given. David did well also. I'm hoping Syesha is gone, although I thought she did pretty decent too.

Beausmommy, I knew I had heard that version somewhere and I think that is where it is from! I loved ER back in the day and I bawled when Mark Greene died.

I know! They have dragged that poor show out way past it's prime. It used to be awesome! I remember that I wouldn't miss ER, it was on Thursdays and nobody planned anything for Thursday night!

I play racquetball on Thursday nights now so I don't get to watch TV on that night. I quit though when Idol first came on and was on three night. I wouldn't play racquetball until it was off on Thursday nights.

I stopped watching it probably about 5 years ago. They kept bringing in new people and I finally got so confused I just didn't watch anymore. I heard on the radio that there is only one more season. It's about time ER was allowed to RIP.

I agree 100%. I think I quit watching about the same time as you. All the good ones left, but when it first started it was great! I am now a "House" fan. I love him, he makes me laugh.
