Dara,
We need a pic so we can decide if you'll suit being a redhead - you can't go ahead without our approval!

I have very dark brown hair and very light greenish blueish eyes. My mom has the same and has colored her hair many shades of red for as long as I can remember. When I was younger, she constantly pestered me to go auburn. It looks great on her but I am just happy with my dark brown. However, I agree with the above comments, she is constantly doing upkeep as she swears to be full of grays. But how would I know, I can not ever remember it any other color than red.

This is okay for the summer, the sun bleaches it and by autumn I am fed up having to do the roots, btw its a bad photo as we were at a wedding (a rugby wedding) and I think I had had way too many by then.
Plus I am not a beach babe anymore (if I ever was) at my age so I really need something more sophisticated.

Nice to have a pic to go with the posts, Dara.

I vote you should go red for Autumn!

It is a very dramatic change and will take a few days to get used to it, but I think you will like it.

Are you going all in or just a little color at a time? You will have to take a pic of your new self

Talking

I had my hair done back in May and I had them do like a red color all over then we foiled some blonde through it. I love it! My first trade was Cosmetology, and I've had every color Matrix offered at one point. I even had eggplant. That wasn't good though, I walked around with a deep, dark purple braid for many months.
So I say either go for it full blown or gradual. Either way I think you'll like it! Let us know!
