Stuff..Stuff it all!!
Stuff..It's all going on in my life..I hardly ever get time to come here and chat lately...The old man...Bane of my life, has been collapsing inconsiderately in a heap (normally when I'm on my way to work, and I have to phone in as late, while I scoop him off the deck, plant him on the bed and wipe his fevered brow with a damp cloth, and add up how much time I've lost through being late )...Joking apart...We thought it was his diabetes causing his 'funny turns', but after being referred to a neurologist, who dismissed the diabetes as irrelevant to his condition. Is insisting on him having to undergo brain scans, MRI's and ECGS in an endeavour to diagnose him of whatever is going on in that ailing old body, and provide an accurate diagnosis, and more importantly, prognosis...Ailing it may be, but we have been together since I was 13, and now he has a problem at 52, and I don't mind admitting I'm scared,
....They are worried that something may be amiss in the brain..Brain...What brain???...It's news to me he had one, but, please God, if they've found out that the old man IS really more than the amoeba I've known for the last 39 years, let him be OK...I couldn't cope without him...Who else could I insult with impunity except him??...He is my rock, and I think this little woman with the big gob would become really shy, and probably collapse and wither without him to bounce off, and batter with verbal abuse.. ( I practise on him, and everyone at work is soo impressed with my vicious repartee!!).... I don't know how to live without him, I've never had to try, we were married at 16 I Love him so much...I'd have to retire and become a recluse!! !.....So BIG worry while they sort him out..He's so scared of the wrath of Marion, He doesn't DARE to be ill .....
In the meantime, and on a much lesser note...I've had all those bone scans you have when you get to 50...Lovely letter from Guy's hospital today tells me the my bones are crumbling with premature osteopenia, I'll shrink at a rate of knots (fine if your over 5ft, but I'm only 4' 10', and cant' afford to lose anymore!)...They all creased at work when I told them I'll be taking up my trousers every month by at least an inch, and by this time year I'll be wearing a dowagers hump as a fashion accessory!

Yes,you have been missed, and all your hilarious stories,Marion.
Hope your dear hubby is going to be ok,and you too of course.
Your honesty in saying that you're still so in love with your DH is good to see,I like to think Ray and I have that sort of closeness too, don't know what we'd do without these old buggers really

Oh, Marion, I've missed you but was hoping your absence was because you, Millie and the "Old Man" had won the lottery and were living life basking in the sun on some tropical island. Seriously, I'm praying for you and Dh that whatever is going on with him is minor and he'll be back to his old self in no time. Is there any treatment for your bone condition or at least something that can slow down the process? Hang in there and remember your BW family loves you!

Marion it all happens in your house doesn't it. Hope the episodes your hubby is having are just a blip.
So to the big question...... Are you going to join the oompa loompas when your height gets down to 3ft then Marion? Think about the extra income, I'm sure Charlie pays well

Marion, thinking of you as hubby is less than his most fit these days. It's a major pain in the lower back region when that happens, I hate when they force us to worry. So I'll send prayers that he makes a speedy recovery. Love like the two of you share deserves to be shared for another 39 years. I have no doubt it will!
Now as to the osteopenia, I'm afraid you need to start making up some interesting stories. My mom has it. She used to be 4 inches taller than me, I had her to lunch a few days ago and we are about the same height. Now I figure that at 5' 1" if I ever develop this I'll pretty much the disappearing woman. My plan is than any questions from anyone would be answered in the best Wizard of Oz, Wicked Witch voice...I'm melting, I'm melting........... Naturally, I would immediatly start wearing green makeup at all times to be prepared for these questions, but you handle that as you see fit. Unless of course your doc has a way of ending or slowing the progression of this, which would of course be preferable.
Take care, you both are in my thoughts and prayers.
Sandy

Marion, I'm sending prayers your way in hopes that all is fine with your dearest "ole' man" and he'll be back to his old self in no time. As for you sweetie, sorry to here that you have been stricken with osteopenia...but can I remind you that GOOD things come in SMALL packages, and you, my dear, are a GEM!!
My good friends' mom has the same thing, diagnosed at the age of 62 when she was 5'1". She is now 81 and 4'6. Capri pants (or as she refers to them, "clam-diggers") do not meet her knees or even her shins, but rest comfortably below her ankles...lol.
The kind of love that the two of you share is very rare indeed, and it's that kind of love that will pull you both through the rough times, as it always has so many times over the years. Of course the love we have for you here at BW could not compare, but it is an added bonus because you can never have enough! Now, keep that chin up and keep being your crazy, witty, humorous and strong self. You guys have a trip to go on and we need another hillarious story that will top the dolphin one!!
Please keep us posted.
