Fullbreed Boxer?

I have saw some other people questioning whether or not their boxer's are full breed, and thought I would ask about Cali. She is a beautiful dog, and has ALL the boxer qualities, but her snout is longer than most boxer's. She was the "runt" of the litter, and looks nothing like her brothers. Regardless of whether or not she is full breed I will love her just the same. I was just curious as to what other people thought, and If they start looking more like traditional boxer's as they get a little older. Thanks!

To be honest, it's a little hard to tell. Two things that aren't typical boxer (but don't in themselves mean she's a mix) are her lack of black mask (well, she has a mask but it is quite weak and doesn't extend as far as it should) and low ear set.

Do you have any newer pictures? I really don't find it easy to give an opinion either way from the ones currently in your gallery. LOL - not very helpful, I know.

She sure is cute but she looks to me to maybe have a little bit of shar pei in her, possibly. I say that because of the shape of her muzzel and the wrinkles, boxers are wrinkly but she is really wrinkley in the muzzel. Love her just the same...

Talking

I posted a couple more pics of Cali and they are pending approval right now. Maybe you can tell a little more from them.

Thank you all for your wonderful comments and help!

From the newer pictures of her..in my opinion (and i am NO expert..so take it for what its worth)..she does look as if she has something other than Boxer in her. For me its the lack of the "mask" on the face, the longer snout, and the ears..but still in my eyes...cute as all heck!!

Did you get papers on her? Did her littermates look like purebred boxers? Just curious.

As I said..she is a cutie pie..and regardless of 100% boxer or mixed with something else..I am sure you love her to pieces!

Gosh she's cute I love the picture of her with the blue ties on her ears.

As for purebred or not, you know, she's just one of those pups it's really hard to say. I don't look at her and see another recognisable breed staring out of the picture. She isn't typical of a boxer, but she's not typical of something else either. I would therefore be more inclined to think that she's probably purebred, but she is not close to the breed standard. Is she undershot?

What her littermates look like really doesn't matter though. It's quite possible for every puppy in a litter to have a different father.

Well, whatever she might be, she is certainly very cute. You're going to have a lot of fun with this little girl, I think

They do look different as they grow. As evidenced by the pics in Harley's gallery. But I don't think she will look like a "typical" boxer no matter how much time you give her.

She is adorable though, either way

I personally have never seen any of her littermates, but Cali's "Dad" said she looked nothing like the others when he picked her up. He said the others had the "Traditional" boxer look, with the smushed nose and dark mask. He thinks she looks more like her mother, which again I have not seen. We are making a trip SOON so I can meet Cali's parents (they live in another state), and get an idea of where and who she came from.

As for papers, we had no plans of breeding her, so we didn't get papers.

I asked about papers only because (unless its an unethical breeder)..there would only be papers on her if both parents were full blooded Boxers. Either way, I still find her adorable! Best of luck with her..enjoy the puppy hood..they grow so quickly, although I find they never seem to totally loose that puppy mentality or play

If I saw her out on the street or park or wherever I would say that she was a mix, but that doesnt matter. She could be full blooded but just poorly bred.
