Father Daughter?

I am trying to find a mentor and puppy to start showing I have had nothing but trouble with this in the past and have been in patient. I am taking my time now. My grandmother breed and shows dogs but another breed so she gives me advice. I have searched through the AKC and then my local club and only found one litter the breeder sounds very nice and we have been talking for awhile I am considering getting a puppy from her then she shocked me by telling me she would be willing to give me a breed back after my bitch was championed. she wrote " Breeding father to female isnt bed you want to stay away from siblings" I thought that sounded fishy so I called my grandma and she was like well I know nothing about boxers but I would have to say please dont buy that puppy and dont talk to that woman again. any advice? Is this normal with Boxers?

Father-daughter matings aren't exactly "normal" in any breed (it makes no difference whether it's a boxer or anything else). That is inbreeding and should only be undertaken by people who're extremely familiar with their line of dogs (if ever at all). And it would be with a specific purpose in mind too - not just because that's the stud that's available.

I'd be inclined to follow the advice your grandmother gave you.
